A Forerunner Hardlight Shield based on the Halo 4 concept art
Modelled in Blender, with a mask for the accent lines hand painted in Substance Painter. The scrolling squares were generated with JSplacement.
All shaders were done in Blender with a mix of magic textures, gradients and other effects layered to create the final effect.
This was a small side project that I did after being inspired by the original concept by Kory Lynn Hubbell https://www.artstation.com/koryface
Master Chief model from the deployment animation isn't mine, it is the in-game Halo 5 model.
